“Little things affect little minds“
I know of people who are easily bothered: depressed and irritated when they face little problems in their work, studies or even relationships at their respective homes. They seem to be frustrated that they could no longer live life to its fullest when an encounter of little predicament tapped them. I was once hooked with great depression because of small conflicts. I remember reading one of Bo Sanchez’ articles that stressed “Exactly, most of our problems are small and they spring up from small views.” So every time I faced the moment of inclination towards the dungeon of extreme melancholy. I keep on reminding myself about Bo’s article. And eventually it eases the pain. Then I feel better afterwards.
Students have a lot of concerns including these unnecessary things. Sometimes because of too much concern with things of too much concern with things surrounding us, we tend to be overloaded. So, we are easily distracted with criticisms, comments, fortuitous events, failing grades which are just ordinary and unpredictable occurrences in everybody’s life. It is the same with the usual and surprising joys and laughter that are so incidental to one’s life.
Why can’t we be optimistic especially when it comes to small matters? Is it necessary to get angry when someone steps on your shoes? Or when you are caught in traffic during a very hot sunny day? Do we need to be affected with unproven gossips? It’s not about how you feel the difficulty but what counts most is how you solve it and get rid of it the fastest you can. There is no big problem that can’t be solved. How much more those little ones?
Well, the decision of being irritated with everybody, a bad and horrible day or a decision to remain in a complicated life is still on individual’s hands. But let’s not forget that in every decision there are always two choices. You can still avoid making big issues out of small problems and choosing to be happy despite of all imperfect things in the world.
In the end “the choice is really yours,” as Bo Sanchez said.
“Let small problems remain small“

Gawd, thank you! Finally, another person who is neither excessively annoyed by these wee things nor sickeningly optimistic.
That’s what we need - more balanced people who don’t freak out or feel overly sorry for themselves when life throws sh*t their way. Deal with it, people, and be grateful that you’re not sitting in the blistering heat with no water, no food, no shelter and no family because they all died from starvation and disease. Wouldn’t that mess up your day?
