A friend or something like it

Do you happen to have someone in your life who knows you better than yourself? Have the guts to tell you that you have something stuck in between your teeth. That you actually look horrific with your new haircut. Tells you without batting an eyelash that you that you gained ten pounds and looks extremely fat. Or reminds you how funny your face becomes when you are mad And your nose red when you cry. Lashes out the harshest comments just to put some sense into your brain But still love and accept you inspite of it all.

How about this,

Never fails to be there rain or shine. Endures talking to you from sunrise to sundown. Comes to the rescue much faster than 911. Listens to the things you say no matter how significant or mundane they are. Sheds buckets of tears until both are nearly dehydrated.

Oh, and how about declaring an all put combat with your rivals and adversaries? And being a one woman cheering squad when you needed support. Or just sticking it out with you even if you’re broke and penniless.

I have quite a number of people like these in my life and I call them friends.
